Getting ready for the AEACI 2024
IT Requirements
General:
A large part of the school will consist of activities that make use of digital applications and software, so the use of a computer, both for online and face-to-face attendees, is essential.
We will be using different pieces of software during the course. We strongly recommend that you install the software in advance following the instructions in the “Software installation” page.
Online participants:
The course will be offered online using ZOOM videoconferencing software. A computer with an Internet connection is required to participate. It is also recommended to have a webcam and microphone in order to be able to carry out the group activities.
On-site participants:
We highly recommend that you bring your own laptop. In case this is not possible for you, please send an email to us [peter-at-iac.es] with the subject “Laptop” and we will try to provide some for shared use at the venue, but we cannot guarantee its availability.
The program includes a visit to the Teide Observatory where we will enjoy a night observation. Since the observatory has a mountain climate and we will stay at night, it is necessary to bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes. In addition, for the daytime visit it is recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat or cap.
